The fabric is of good quality and does not lose its color when washed.

Since it is natural silk that is only hand-processed, this beautiful shawl/stole arrives stiff -- as if it were starched and ironed. A few cool washes with gentle detergent and air drying between baths produces a lovely softness and sheen in the material.
