This prostration pads are used as a gloves while prostrating. It is made up of pure wool to give your hands full comfort while prostrating. Pilgrims have spent several years making pilgrimages to Lhasa and other religious centers from distant places in Tibet, covering the entire distance in a series of prostrations. Theses pilgrims often wear these prostration hand pads . They advance forward by lowering themselves to the ground and extending and stretching themselves on the ground, scrambling to their feet, taking two steps forward, and repeating the whole process all day long.

These seem like just what I need and are made well. I've only used them once but they work great. Just got them.
